Hello and welcome.
This is Clive Oliver, “Australia’s answer to Anabelle Francis.” I was back in Singapore this week to watch the progress of the local league. The off season continued with many top players on leave. Also new video equipment was being tried out – an experiment keenly watched by the rest of the unicycling world. Due to absentees, only Maxim, Kee, JH, and Reine opened for the World Team. Controversially, Si Yong started late. Allegedly he was also late for a training session in Tuas at the weekend. Although his agent refused to comment, one wonders if the World superstar will be able to cope with his growing fame and status as a media celebrity. Unnamed sources say he was seeing actress Natalie Portman last Saturday. [Ed: -_-;] Will such Hollywood connections affect his play in future hockey matches? We shall wait and see.
Joseph on the other hand, although closely linked to the music industry this week, was on time to play for Orange, as were Kai Lun, Remi, Geoffrey and Ben1. However they were missing their goalie HF, their young star Andrew, and also their top goal scorer, Sean. Rumours abound, that the Orange hardman was serving a voluntary suspension pending an investigation into an alleged foul the previous week. But the Sean Fan Club dismisses this as nonsense. No foul was called on him 7 days ago. Why, they say, should he be suspended now? Surely there is another reason for his absence.
Finally, controversial video footage was tested this week. Supposedly an aid to referees, would it simply undermine their authority? The video would show that one disallowed goal was in fact legal, whereas a “last minute” goal actually occurred after the half time whistle! [Ed: What half time whistle? It was just the crowd going silent. It was in actual fact extra time] Should this evidence be used to update the scoreline? Surely not. The referee’s decision should be final, and must be accepted.
The Game started with an instant goal, as Ben1 with yet another new blade took a long shot. One nil! A great start this for Orange.
A strong team counter attack gave the World a good shot on goal, but just wide. Then it was Orange’s turn. Ben1 swung through midfield and passed wide to Joseph. Joseph, strangely attired in blue, (Blue J?), took it out to the left, and then flicked it back to Ben1 who’d found space in front of the goal. Using an unorthodox one handed push, he guided the ball home. Two nil to Orange. Superb passing from Blue Jay, reminiscent of his great last minute pass to Ben1 last week. Is Blue the new Orange?
Ben1 was having a great time with long shots. Letting rip from just over the half way line, he made it a hat trick! Three Nil to Orange! But no. The goal was disallowed, although the video footage shows him to be well inside the dark half! The fans were outraged, but Ben1 seemed unaware of his position and meekly accepted the result. Only Two nil to Orange. Was the Orange veteran losing his fire? Where was Sean when we needed him?
It was up to Blue Jay to reassert Orange’s dominance. He literally blew (blue?) the World away, beating their defender and striking home. Three nil to Orange! A really great start this for the Golden (and blue) boys!
Remi was having a good day too, often finding space to attack, having a few early shots, and even hitting the crossbar once.
Ben1 weaved pass JH and kee. Riding wide he took a good shot on goal, but this time producing a gut wrenching save from keeper, Raine! (She took it directly on her stomach).
PS You may have noticed I don’t know how to spell Raine! [Ed: Raine is spelt Raine]
But the Darkside stepped up a notch, fighting back to win a corner, but no joy. The ball was cleared to way up field, bouncing back to find Remi near the dark goal. He took a brilliant reverse angle shot and almost scored. The enthralling end to end play continued, with Kee getting a breakaway. One on one with the Orange keeper, he could have scored, but the ball went just wide. Moments later, at the other end, Remi found himself unmarked, but his shot went wide as well. Then he was in action again; the fab Frenchman flicking onto Ben1.Although One on one with keeper, the orange veteran’s shot was saved by Raine. Another breakaway for kee failed to result in a goal. Finally it was Remi who broke the deadlock! A goal for Orange. Four nil! Despite the World’s pressure, the score line was slipping away from them. This poses the question, does the World miss Sid and Darren, more than Orange misses Sean and Hui Fang? Interesting hypertheticals abound!
Without Sean to sprint upfield, Kai Lun decided to break away and have a go but it wasn’t to be. Twice in as many seconds his close range shots were shut out by Raine’s wheel! The World keeper may have started tentatively, but she was really coming into her own now. Without her hard work, the Dark Side would have been very dark indeed.
And then it happened. One of Orange’s (many?) problems has been a loss of focus. And in the closing minutes of the half, their concentration wavered once again. Unfortunately for them, the World Team never seems to sleep, so whilst Ben1 happily explained that he hadn’t really fouled Si Yong, Kee moved through to score! : one for the Dark Side!
Then, seconds later, as the music faded away, the ref allowed one more shot. And the World scored. Maxim to Si yong and Kee. Orange fans were outraged. The Video footage apparently showed that the final whistle had already gone. Nevertheless the goal was allowed. And so the half ended. Orange, who had confidently felt they should be Five Nil up, now found themselves at only Four Two. The Dark Side had finished very strongly indeed!
The Second Half
Maxim was called for a high stick. On the restart Ben1 took another long shot, and got another goal. Five Two to Orange!
But the World came back strongly. A bit hard to see from the camera angle, but I think Kee came from behind the Orange goal to slip one behind the keeper. Five Three! Yet another Kee breakaway narrowly missed the Orange goal. He will surely rue his missed chances, but there was no time to wait. The golden boys piled on the counter attacks. Kai Lun roared behind the Dark goal and flicked back to Ben1. It was a lovely bit of passing which Ben1 confidentally tapped home. Six Three to Orange!!
Undetered, the World fought on. Another Kee breakaway was blocked by Geoffrey and Joseph, but Maxim and Si yong followed up. It was Maxim who knocked it in. Six ; Four. Was the World Team coming back?
Si Yong had a go. But his breakaway move was blocked by the keeper.
A tiring Ben1 found his long shots no longer hitting the mark. Instead he scored a breakaway goal, breaking the World’s momentum. Seven : Four to Orange.
A weary Ben1, showing his age, moved back into defence. But Orange were able to compensate. It fell to KL to launch an attack with Remi. The Frenchman scored! His second today. : Eight Four to Orange!
With only seconds left, the dark ones tried to salvage some pride.
However, their goal was controversially disallowed. Orange claimed the Dark side had taken their free shot prematurely, but was this yet another example of Orange dreaming, while The World attacked screaming?
And so it finished.
The official score at the end remained at Eight Four. But should it have been Nine Five? Or even Eight Five?
Is this the beginning of a new era of dominance for Orange? Or is this the end of the beginning for the World Team? What will happen when both teams are back up to full strength?

When Tribes Go To War!!
It was March 15 2006. A day that shall never be forgotten, neither by the World fans nor the Orange army. The two teams clashed in a mighty struggle.
It started with a typically sneaky goal by that old hand, Ben1. Seeing that the World defence wasn’t quite ready, he attacked from the whistle and scored within seconds. Perhaps not as fast as he used to be, Ben1 is nevertheless an experienced player who loves to punish loop holes in opposing teams. One nil to Orange!
But the World came strongly back. Maxim, having an excellent game, had the first of his many break aways onto goal. Racing past Oranges thin defences, he scored the equalizer for the Darkside.
Next it was Seans turn. The Orange star player was super fast today. He tore through to put Orange ahead 2:1
Ben1 was fired up, but broke his new stick on Jeffs wheel. The World comedian, back in action with some hideous scarring on his legs from crash last week, is something of a nemesis for Ben1. He always seems to be able to tackle the Orange veteran.
Ben1 returned with a new stick, but didn’t seem to happy with it and with drew back into defence.
Both teams were light on numbers today. In the first half only Sean, Ben1 and Kai Lun were on the field for Orange, Jolyon and Joseph desparately sidelined with a punctured tyre.
The World were missing Darren, still unable to attend because of a shattered crank. Nevertheless, they had the extra man with 4 players on the field, namely Kee, Maxim, Jeff and Geoffrey. And, ominously for Orange, the legendary Si Yong could also be seen warming up on the side lines. Jolyon and Joseph raced to repair the puncture and boost the Orange team, but it wasn’t to be. They wouldn’t enter until the second half, which was still a long way off.
With Ben1 retreating to the goalie position, brooding over his broken stick, a lot of responsibility fell onto Kai Lun’s mighty shoulders. He rose to the challenge with a great goal! 3:1 to Orange. At last however, Oranges weakness in numbers was felt. With only three players it was very hard defend. The World scored two goals in rapid succession, one of them a brilliant shot from the World playmaker, Kee. It was soon 3:3.
From then on Orange were in trouble, and, as Ben1 fumbled, it was only Sean who kept their hopes alive. Riding, like a man inspired, he repeatedly ripped through the Dark Sides walls. Covering as much ground as an entire team, he raced back and forth, plugging the gaps, and scoring goals to keep Orange in contention.
And goals came aplenty!
Some smooth break aways from a very in-form Maxim, produced a number of goals, but Sean kept on popping them in as well. Eventually Ben1 managed to stay on his unicycle long enough to squeeze one in, beating Geoffrey at the near post. But the situation still looked good for the unstoppable World brigade, as the legendary Si Yong arrived to take up his position. In the interests of fair play, Maxim gallantly stepped down, to ensure that Orange were not too out numbered. (Such sportsmanship should be applauded).
But fortune was still with his team, the first half ending with an extraordinary goal for Kee. The orange keeper blasted the ball up field, but it ricocheted off Kee’s tyre and flew straight back into the net. By such twists of fate are matches won or lost. This bizarre goal put the World ahead 8:7 at half time.
The Second Half. (I didn’t see much of this half. If someone to can fill in the gaps, that would be great!)
And so the teams reconvened. Let battle begin again. Orange were down a goal, but Joseph and Jolyon were back strengthen their ranks.
Sean duly scored first, but then another equipment failure for the Orange team. (They really should talk to their sponsors and mechanics). Now Ben1s bike punctured. By the time he returned the score this half was 3:3, with more goals from Maxim and more goals from Sean.
But overall, (as Orange had conceded more goals in the first half), it was the Dark side who was in the lead! With only seconds remaining, what could orange do to fight back? Cometh the moment, cometh the man. It was Joseph who answered the question brilliantly. With the clock counting down, he slotted in a fabulous pass to the newly arrived Ben1, who duly tapped into the net for a last minute equalizer!
Final result 11:11. A tie!!
Games like this with last minute goals in each half are what make unicycle hockey the most popular sport on one wheel. Tell your children you were there! You saw the blood, the sweat and the tears!
(Quite a lot of blood actually for a no contact sport. Where was the ref?)

And they’re off!!
My word, it’s a great game. Straightaway, within a few seconds, Kee passes to Si Yong, splits open the Orange defence and scores!!
Blinding play! So fast! So accurate! One nil to the World, and less than a minute since the game started. The fans are going wild! The World is turning!!!
Orange is still weakened. Hui Fang and Remi are still signing autographs for their adoring fans and haven’t entered the pitch yet. And starplayer Sean is still flying in, after a last minute meeting with his publicity agent. This is surely the World’s chance to avenge their defeat last week.
Wait a minute! Stop the press! Sean has arrived! Now lets see if Orange can come back. No, obviously not. Kee has just scored for The World! A brilliant bit of teamwork between Si Yong and the move-maker, Mr Kee! It’s 2 nil to the World. Are Orange crashing out?
Oh my! I just thought it was safe to go to the toilet. (Boy, it really stinks in there). Anyway, I heard the crowd going bonkers, screaming and cheering, so I rushed back and found out it’s ….. IT’S TWO ALL!!!!! A goal from Sean, and then one from the Golden boy, Theng Huat!!!!! (Oh man, what a phenomenal season for TH. He’s scoring every game these days!). Well I think we can safely Orange are up to full strength again. I think World Team is going down. They’re going down. They’re going down!!!!!!

Wrong again. Amazing long shot from Darren. The World win the first half 3:2.
Second half!!!!
Welcome back. The World Team is playing beautifully… Darren, Si yong and kee upfront, and all of them scoring goals in the first half. Lovely passing, lovely coordinated attacks. Lovely long passes to Darren who keeps finding himself in open spaces near the Orange goal. And wonderful defensive play too, Maxim normally rushing back to provide double goalie duties with joffrey(sic). And now Jeff has arrived to further the Dark side. It’s impossible to see Orange coming back now. They just haven’t got it. Ah well…. I’m leaving early…. Off home to see my wife.
In the MRT looking for my EZ link card. What’s this!?? Confusion.
Excitement?
The station master has just rushed off towards the stadium waving an orange flag. A news crew has just raced past aswell. My word!!!! I think that’s the Prime Minister.. They’re all heading back to the stadium. There’s fire works in the night sky!!!! And a news flash on TV Mobile!!! It can’t be…. But it is! Orange have fought back!!!!!!!
I’m rushing back to pitch.. Pandemonium!!
It seems the World continued brilliantly. Darren scored (again), and consistent team play brought the Dark Ones yet another goal. Yet miraculously, Orange have fought back. Kee says the second half was 5:3 to Orange, so they’ve won 7:6 on aggragate!!! Not quite sure who scored, Ben is claiming a couple a goals, (but then he’s such an old show off, it’s hard to know whether to believe him). Kai Loon may have scored! There’s talk of brilliant defensive play by Remi and Hui Fang… As well as a disasterous unicycle breakdown for Darren.. His crank completely sheering off at high speed.. . AND!! AND! It seems Andrew has scored. The youngest player to ever achieve such glory. Comparisons with Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney seem inevitable, but they were an incredible 15 years older when they scored their first goals!!!!
Well, well, well! 7:6 to Orange. A fabulously close game!! (Ed: In fairness, The World lost Darren and Maxim and ended up playing 4-7, so I wouldn't really say it was that close) Who could ask for anything more? Stay tuned!!

A blinder of a game! A taste of things to come! Blood, guts and goals!
First half was 3:1 to Orange. Sean passed to Ben1, who got the 1st goal.
Then Ben1 hit the post. And then so did Si Yong for the World!!!
Darren beat 2 orange defenders to equalize for the Dark side. But sean raced through on the restart and put Orange back in the lead.
Ben1 viciously elbowed Kee in the nose, and Andrew almost scored twice! Amazingly, although he is so young, a goal from him is starting to look inevitable. Then Remi almost scored. Action at both ends (or should I say “posteriors”?), as both Maxim’s butt and then Remi’s butt stopped goals!
Finally Ben1 got his second goal, his shot flying off Darren’s knee and into the net!
The World came back strongly in the 2nd half, but only after Theng Huat scored for Orange. Orange went on to score 2 more, but Great team work from Si Yong and Darren brought goals aplenty for the Dark Side. And Ben1’s breathtaking goal was disallowed. Orange Crash Out Of Sid Tribute MatchBut Future Not Completely Dim

Orange crashed to yet another humbling defeat yesterday, and yet they started promisingly. After Sid, in his farewell match, promptly opened the scoring for the World, the golden ones came strongly back to lead 2:1. Ben1 made a break down the left side and passed smoothly to Theng Huat. Sid rushed out of goal, but to no avail. Theng Huat blasted the ball into the World’s net. A superb one touch goal from a player who is becoming a rising star for Orange. It was 1 all !! Fired up, moments later Ben1 found himself in front of the goal and he unerringly squeezed the ball past Sid’s wheel and into the net! 2:2.
But from here on Orange stumbled while the World went from strength to strength. Orange brought all their riders forward, and with no defenders left Siyong came through to equalize for the World. Sean had arrived to play for Orange, but to no avail. Sid scored to put the World in front, 3:2. Orange were in trouble, and it was to get worse. Siyong scored again. Then Kee made one of his stunning passes, and Maxim slotted one home. It was now 5:2. Orange were unable to come back. In the dying moments of the half, Ben1 almost scored, but only by practically running over his young team mate Andrew.
As for the second half, the goals came thick and fast. It will take a reporter with a better memory than me , to recall them all. Suffice to say that they were ALL goals for the World. Not once did Orange muster enough organization to penetrate the Dark Side. Sean hit the post a few times. Ben1 fired a few which bounced tantalizingly on goal line but refused to roll over. He was heard to shout that the World were just lucky as his shot ricocheted off the goalie (Maxim’s) backside and fell away from the netting. But the World were not simply lucky. They played with skill and coordination. They made the most of their chances, and were the deserving winners. At this moment their dominance seems unquestioned.

Orange crashed to yet another humbling defeat yesterday, and yet they started promisingly. After Sid, in his farewell match, promptly opened the scoring for the World, the golden ones came strongly back to lead 2:1. Ben1 made a break down the left side and passed smoothly to Theng Huat. Sid rushed out of goal, but to no avail. Theng Huat blasted the ball into the World’s net. A superb one touch goal from a player who is becoming a rising star for Orange. It was 1 all !! Fired up, moments later Ben1 found himself in front of the goal and he unerringly squeezed the ball past Sid’s wheel and into the net! 2:2.
But from here on Orange stumbled while the World went from strength to strength. Orange brought all their riders forward, and with no defenders left Siyong came through to equalize for the World. Sean had arrived to play for Orange, but to no avail. Sid scored to put the World in front, 3:2. Orange were in trouble, and it was to get worse. Siyong scored again. Then Kee made one of his stunning passes, and Maxim slotted one home. It was now 5:2. Orange were unable to come back. In the dying moments of the half, Ben1 almost scored, but only by practically running over his young team mate Andrew.
As for the second half, the goals came thick and fast. It will take a reporter with a better memory than me , to recall them all. Suffice to say that they were ALL goals for the World. Not once did Orange muster enough organization to penetrate the Dark Side. Sean hit the post a few times. Ben1 fired a few which bounced tantalizingly on goal line but refused to roll over. He was heard to shout that the World were just lucky as his shot ricocheted off the goalie (Maxim’s) backside and fell away from the netting. But the World were not simply lucky. They played with skill and coordination. They made the most of their chances, and were the deserving winners. At this moment their dominance seems unquestioned.

The World with moral boosting win.
The World managed to come back from their downturn in form, which saw them lose their last 2 matches, by recording a moral boosting win against Orange in this largely one-sided affair.
Boosted by the return of their defensive rock, Darren and midfield enforcer, Sid, both who were away on Operation Chingay and Codename Laos respectively, The World set out to avenge their humiliating defeat at the hands of Orange this past 2 weeks.
Orange on the other hand, while seeing the return of the double "A" team of Alice and Andrew, seemed to sorely miss the speed and shooting ability of Ben. So is (2A = 1B)? If B = 1 and A = 1/2, then yes. Unfortunately, it did not seem to be the case, as Orange were at times over-run by the rampant The World players.
The return of Darren and Sid brought an added bite and steel to a once soft The World team. Matching Orange's own enforcer Shaun, move for move, tackle for tackle, The World battled to a 2-0 first half lead. Were it not for the heroics in goal by Huifang and some sloopy shooting by The World, it could have been more.
The second half saw Orange rocked by more bad news. Part-time player JiaHui decided that her poser mohawk was too precious and backed out, claiming that she needed personal time off. She was last seen trying to wheel walk down a railing on a 70 degree incline slope that ended in a cliff overlooking shark infested waters. Condolences can be sent to Singapore Unicyclist.
Orange, however battled on and were rewarded with a goal when a testing long range shot somehow evaded all the defenders to roll into goal.
Spured on by that humiliation, The World fought back, fiercer then before, resulting in numerous crashes and falls. 2 goals later, Orange found themselves 4-1 down on aggregate, and 2 players on their butts. Seeing as how this wasn't to be their night, Orange conceeded the match to allow The World to a moral boosting win.
Will Orange be able to get over this blip when they see the return of Ben? Or will The World have to start looking for a new enforcer with the imminent transfer of Sid to Club Australia? Tune in next week for more news!

Desperate Unicyclists!
We present to you the latest Grammy-winning, Golden Globe cinching, Oscar nabbing and whatever dangnabbit awards out there, we totally PWN it, show: Desperate Unicyclists!
"Watch as violence, scandals, sex, drugs and rock-and-roll unfold! Hilarity not ensued."
We hate to interrupt your lovely Kee's news update, but the shmow must go on as we bring to you the same exact things Kee has mentioned, except spiced and souped up, in short, probably more exciting. And slightly biased in Orange's favor.

On the previous episode, there was rain but not Raine, and proverbial joints were rocked. We watched as Sid bade a tearful goodbye, heralded by Kee as on the promontery, he waved Sid an airy wave, praying for good luck. The scandal was no more, temporarily. Will Kee have the capacity and tenacity to carry on his journey and take up Sid's mantle in The World(tm)?? Will Orange take the defeats lying down? Will The World(tm) come crashing down with the absence of a titan? More importantly, can Kee perform still in Sid's absence?
(cue music. tum tee tum.)

While the line-up commenced, slowly but steadily people trickled in to form the respective teams of Orange and The World(tm). Orange, comprising of Ben, Huifang, Rémi and Shaun gathered on one side, chatting animatedly while waiting for The World(tm) to congregate. The World(tm), stewarded by Kee marshalled the neighbors Geoffrey, Siyong and Joseph, siddled up to eyeball Ben, in attempts to intimidate. Siyong, a desperate juggler, has made his appearance once more as illicit and unexplained circumstances has put him out of action.
It starts!
Orange begins with full thrust, pumped with andrenaline as they keep pushing on, through the ranks of The World(tm), weaving in and out with finesse. Kee, seeking duality with Siyong, forms the bulk of The World(tm)'s offense and sometimes defense. The barrier of The World(tm) has been breached! Ben broke through. A passed made was subtly received which diverted its course straight for the goal!

The virgin goal was scored by Orange, causing whoops of delight to shiver through its teammates and fans alike. Graced by the presence of Lynnet, probable aspiring desperate unicyclist, the sun shone fairly.
With renewed vigor, Orange withdrew from The World(tm)'s region and Geoffrey resumes the game. Kee's craftiness beguiled Orange's guard, as he passed the baton to Siyong who tries to ram the ball in with strength but Huifang vigilance pays off as the attempt deflects harmlessly of the side of her stick. Ball resumes play as The World(tm) takes a corner and gets intercepted and almost dangerously tilts into The World(tm)'s part of the court. Joseph on the standby, tackled this task with force as he whacked the poor bejeezus of the ball towards Kee who in the heat of the moment, lobs the ball right into where it hit the Orange most. By that, I mean a goal of course.
It's 1:1 ladies and gentlemen and the action is getting fiercer!
As the game continues, violence is almost seen on the part of Shaun as he violently trips over...himself and causes himself to crash with great gusto. His abrasions on his right hand, injured left wrist, abrased elbow and knees can attest to that cry of foul play on the player's own part. That player was seen by eyewitnesses that an insidious ploy on the player's own part was hatched to make himself fall and terribly injure himself. If I was the ump, I'd have sent myself off the pitch to make it up to myself!
Right... moving on.
A moment of groaning, grovelling and grousing later, Orange resumed tempo as rhythmically Orange surged forwards dancing around the defenses of The World(tm). And incredible save of Geoffrey's as Ben attempts to score one was almost immediately pressed in upon by Shaun's high lob from the rebound of the thrust and it pocketed itself right into the goal. Geoffrey is dismayed.

Huifang scores one as she pressured the ball in amidst the chaos caused by the plethora of The World(tm) members all huddled and grouped together.

From the dead centre and almost at point blank, Joseph let out an intimidating war cry as a foolish stray ball crossed paths with him and he let loose torrents of might and sent the poor ball careening into Orange's goal.

That was the first half of engagement brought about with much ado and heigh-ho. Rather dispirited at the impotent latency of their abilities, The World(tm) felt that that was not the full extent of their powers. With greater effort, they could have come to a better conclusion with a better score. It was watering time for both the teams though, as Siyong discreetly slipped away for a rendezvous with a budding unicyclist in the vicinity. Desperate juggler meets desperate-to-learn-unicycling lady. Everyone else is doing their own things pretty much, so cut to commercials!

Come 2nd wind, Orange readies themselves for the winning streak that they have climaxed through hard effort and even Lady Luck admits she took no part in Orange's victory. Siyong, out of action from being too over-strenuous in the rowdiness earlier takes a step back to contemplate the finer aspects of teaching unicycling.
There was rock-and-roll. Shaun's unicycling skills hit a rock, he rolled and was attacked by Geoffrey's backswing that could put any avid golfer to shame. That is to say, he scuffed me on the jaw.
There was no sex, we lied. But this entry's interesting enough as it is, don't ya think?
The first goal was a long journey, as both teams sallied back and forth, riding tirelessly to score the much awaited first blood. This time, The World(tm) drew first blood and effectively bringing the score to
7:4, probably brought about by Kailun, the newest addition to The World(tm) in response to Siyong's absence.
More violence ensues as Kailun accidentally whacked my shin pretty hard. I have a dangerous affinity with rods and sticks. They all seem to involve hard knocks of sorts on various parts of me; shin, chin, jaw, elbow etc.
The score becomes 8:4 as someone scores, Ben or Shaun I think. I don't know, I don't clamor to have the world's best memory. I just fabricate.
As the action is drawn out, people are seen to tire more and more often as fatigue rears its ugly head. People, or at least a person, was panting heavily as the action got too vigorous for him to keep up. But momento waits for no man, as fouls were taken to a new level. Shaun broke his favourite stick, he tripped many a Kee and in doing so fouled him several times, whom Kee was then later fouled by Ben. Sense a pattern here?
Kee is t3h unpopular guy =( Everyone bullies him =(
No offense meant of course, because soon Kee ups the ante by bringing the score to 8:5 tounredress. Injustice.
Tum tee tum, oh wait the score now is 9:5, and probably would have carried on to 10:5 if the lights didn't suddenly go off, plunging its many steaming players stranded in the pitchy blackness of lights being turned off.
Drugs were administered in the form of Teh-bing, a beverage so good people speculate it must have been drugged. With the stealth of NINJAS, Jolyon and jolly family magically magicked behind our tables without a peep, whom we did not notice until alot of peeps later.

The World(tm) suffers demoralising defeat
The World's defense was asked questions by the Orange's attack and had no good answers. In a demoralising 9-5 defeat, which saw Orange players Shaun and BenI run riot, scoring an astounding 9 goals past a helpless Geoffery in goal.
When questioned on the reason for the loss, the manager said that the lack of a defensive holding midfielder was probably the reason as Orange used the speed of their forwards to time and again aquire 1 on 1 chances with The World's keeper.
But everyone could see that was only one of the reasons as unusually sloopy passing and shooting as well as lack of movement and imagination all round led to the defeat. Pushed back and stuck in the own half for periods to and end, The World were caused no end of problems by Orange's speed and strength.
Missing their regular goal scorer and midfield enforcer, Sid, The World were constantly bullied of the ball, hunted by the packs of Orange players. Trying to exploit the space that's left by Orange, poor passing led to interceptions which Orange expolited with glee.
In the end, the 9-5 scoreline was a fair reflection of the overall run of play. Orange had an excellent game while The World was out of sorts.
Games will resume after the CNY period where food and fun all round will cause futher havock to the players physical conditioning. Can The World rebound after this defeat or will Orange continue their dominance? Come back next week to find out!
P.S: Hurts my heart to type that. But since an Orange victory comes about once every blue moon, I don't think I'll be dying anytime soon. :P

4-3 To the World
After the hiding received at the hands of Orange last week, The World(tm) were baying for blood. Despite the weather forecast reading "Wet, Wet, Wet, Wetter, Wet, Wetter..." the team still made their weekly trip to the majestic stadium that is Singapore Poly's basketball court.

Everyone loves a scandal...
Renowned 'World' players caught in bed!
Hexacoto reports:
In a recent spate of events, none has come truly as close to this shocking turn of a scandal when alleged couple Kee Xuyuan and Sid, both of World(tm) renown, were caught together in a same bed. Speculations have been made by professional analysts as to whether this picture can be considered a credible source and what impact this trudge would have on the team and their games in the future.
Apparently this 'interfacing of hardware' between Kee and Sid has, instead of worsening ties and camaraderie, closened them in ways unthinkable as tactly proven in their usual duality in the recent match against the Orange team. Far from dismay, the two alleged couple has grown closer and stronger.
An inside source reveals, "I've always thought there to be something... illicit about them. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought it to be actually true," quips a fan of The World(tm) team, apparently delighted at this hot, juicy piece of information. "Oh..does this mean Kee is taken?" spouts a dejected-looking female. "Secretly, I've always had the hots for Kee, eventhough he's eager to prove himself a groupie to some other team."
Caught, although not in the act, in a bed in Desaru and blasphemously, in the presence of the other couple, Rémi and Huifang as well as sporadic individual Alex, it was supposedly reported that Kee upon sighting Sid alone in bed, jumped at the chance and jumped into bed with him, eventhough it was a single bed.

A New Drama Series...
This is on Wednesday 14's session. I've decided to spruce it up a little and hence I present to you...
Before we begin, let us introduce the main cast, although everyone was a main factor in the game, but let's just accomodate to me a while, shall we?
Xuyuan is played by Kee,
The story begins....
Prologue
KeeXuyuan was a destitute child, abandoned by hockey teams who wouldn't acknowledge his existence. His familiar, Alice, has mysterious gone missing, an absence sorely missed by the Orange Team (the very that chucked Xuyuan out). With burning vengeance, Xuyuan looked back upon the titans of Orange and stumbled aimlessly through miasma and setbacks, finally stumbling upon a friendly hand. Half-blind (although cynics doubt that) with frustration and pent-up passion, Xuyuan saw that this friendly hand came in the form of genteel (*cough*) Sid. Halo and bright lights bedazzled Xuyuan as he took the hand of this benign angel (*cough*) and it was then on, Xuyuan has fallen into the mires of The World(tm).
Although Sid does not look it, Sid actually appears younger than what he actually is. Turns out that Xuyuan actually is the elder of them both, but to be in, Sid is imperceptibly the elder.
"Elder sounds old. Can I call you 'gu-gu'(aunt) then?"
"Whatever."
Hence the beginnings of Xuyuan's orientation began, with unrelenting pushings of The World and his gu-gu, Xuyuan's ability to control and handle the games and the ball and the stick rose beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Speed and finesse, he strove to master them both.
In this seclude bliss, Xuyuan experienced happiness he never knew possible. Being once in Orange seemed like a dream to him, and his current state of being too is like a dream, but a dream he never wishes to wake from.
Impending squall
However, one day, on a very Wednesday 14th of December 2005, just as Xuyuan was as usual honing his skills with his gu-gu, their sanctity was infringed and encroached upon. Orange came blaring up to their grove with rods ablaze, calling for a match.
Their torches lit the starlit sky furthur, bathing the serene ebony sky with twinges of red and smoke. From their safety, Xuyuan and Sid peeked out. 6 of the Orange sect has challenged The World(tm)! Not to be daunted, Xuyuan and his gu-gu strode calmly into the scene.
Eyeballing each other, The World(tm) sized up the oppenents strength, and a smirk escaped Sid. Orange made the first move! The Orange sect has sent out a mixture of Kailun, Huifang, Rémi, Theng Huat, Joseph, Shaun and surprisingly, Andrew, whom everyone thought was on the world until later. Whatever was Orange thinking? Sending a seedling into the fray? Clashes of steel, plastic and wood ensued, ensuring chaos and frenzy.
The World(tm) strangely seemed to comprise of mainly Xuyuan and Sid, with ocassional assistances and a damn-near goal from Yihao. Oh by the way The World(tm) comprised of Xuyuan, Sid (gu-gu), Kok, Jeff, Maxim, Raine and Yihao. While Sid watched from the safe throes of the rusted goalpost as he loosened reins on his Xuyuan to have him foray into the heat of it all, when it seemed inevitable Sid dashed out to secure a goal, but was to no avail 10 minutes into the game. Xuyuan, HIS Xuyuan seemed overpowered.
Seems that Sid is no longer content to sit safely in his saddle, so as to speak. Pulling into the 4th gear and more, Sid flew instantly to Xuyuan's aid. From then on, the nightmare of Orange commenceth.
Then on, Sid drew into hoo-hah pairing up with Xuyuan to perform impeccable duality that bordered on the line between magic and grace, but mostly frutrating to the Orange sect.
The harder Orange fought back, it seems the more vociferous the duo got. Slinking in between the defenses of Orange, their formidable two-pronged attacked still was halted formidably by Huifang, stalward goalkeeper of the Orange sect.
"Nothing gets by me!" declares Huifang as deftly she manipulates the ball and deflects it.
It carried on in this vein for quite some while, tiring out both an Orange sect member and the writer of this series. Then and quite suddenly, Sid (quothKeeXuyuan verbatim) went on one of his speedy dribbles down the side (once again, without his bib..) and unleashed a low shot at goal, which Huifang was unable to save. 1-0 to The World(tm).
Both sects and Xuyuan and his gu-gu exhausted, the half was over. Xuyuan and his gu-gu was seen to amble off together to furthur 'discuss tactics' and do a post mortem of the climatic face-off just now.
With unearthly tomes of unknown uncovered, Xuyuan and his gu-gu were practising illicit moves to apply later in the second half. Hints and glimpses of 'coming together to deal with Orange' and intimidating 'bi-passes' wafted through the tumult of the resting period. Both of them began to refine their techinique.
Shrouded in the darkness, away from prying eyes, and after what seemed like eternity to them, their strategy was confirmed upon. They were done.
The second half began with much gusto. There the Orange sect witnessed some of the toughest and fiercest fight yet. Speed records broken, bones and dignity broken. Broken ocassionally by the tumbling fall of Orange sect member, whose fall was broken by his wrist and knee almost broken, nothing could break the fervor that Xuyuan and his gu-gu has cooked up.
Swinging their sticks like a dervish, the duo plunged into the thick of the opponents with ridiculous ease once the initial barrier has been penetrated. Still, the first line of defence was a force to be reckoned with. Kailun has quite earned himself the nickname of being a... ah I can't translate that it's in Chinese ... and true to that name, many a times have the World's ball been snatched right under their noses, although regrettably seldom were there Orange sect members on the standby for support. Andrew, a newbling, proved himself beyond all doubt by actually blocking one of Sid's ball!!
Past the initial defense, the duo set themselves up for the devious strategy they cooked up earlier on.
Sid took the right wing with Xuyuan taking the left, keeping slightly ahead. Using himself as a diversion, the Orange thronged Sid and with a heave, passed to Xuyuan who'd try to score or return pass to his gu-gu. And BOOM! 1-0.
Bah.
So what happened later? The game resumed with a spectacular goal from the Orange sect, cutting the scoring time to within minutes of that goalkick. From afar, the ball traipsed past Kok, past Andrew, past undoubtedly Xuyuan and his gu-gu who were looking from afar deep in Orange territory and from behind the half line, the ball travelled towards World goalie Yihao who accidentally touched it and it went into the goal, becoming an own goal by Yihao.
Touché.
Spurred on by this humiliating goal, The World(tm) doubled their efforts and quite contrary to CrazyUnicyclist's commentary, the one ball by Sid was not caught unawares by such a long range shot' because then she was very occupied with Jolyon's monstrous velocipede and his crash, and not because Sid's incredibly talented at long range shots or anything =p.
2-1 it is.
Bla bla bla, yadda yadda yadda. The predictable duo did the same thing again. Sid on the right, Xuyuan left of him. Bang whoop yawn, 3-1. Try something new will ya?
Of course it is up to Orange to up the ante. While the besotted couple tried to pull of their nifty albeit boring trick, Joseph valiant knocked the ball out of their posession, leaving fans in gasp as once again they knew with Orange in posession, the andrenaline gets going. They knew that the open goal left by the World was divine intervention. They knew that Theng Huat's opportune positioning by the World's goalpost was not sheer luck or chance, but shrewd craftiness. 3-2.
Then, the game got harder as The World tightened their defenses and shrouded, multiplying their blocking of incoming Orange sect heresies while dividing Orange's unified formation, not before subtracting chances of Orange scoring but rather, adding to their own possibilities of keeping the lead. While considering the factors (time and fatigue), The World took on a 'Tian Luo Di Wang' (Heavenly Trap, Earthly net) formation, allowing no Orange infidels to slip through.
Indeed, seldom could Orange penetrate this web. However, on one rare ocassion, one did sleep through, only to be thwarted by the mass that looms forebodingly over the lone Orange, who would be attack en masse, leaving him/her dazed amongst rubble.
Indeed what happened after that, the writer does not know because he was involved in a seriously bad crash involving him and himself. You see, the writer was tripped by his own stick while driving at breakneck speeds.
The writer cannot continue this drama series anymorem, but rumor has it that the score was 4-2. Which means after the writer collapsed in a pile of bruises, The World scored another goal.
The author is in a pile, in a corner, tending his bruises.

The World(tm) 5 - 2 Orange
After the humilating defeat at the hands of Orange the previous week (albiet without most of their key players), The World(tm) was smarting for revenge. Recalling players such as Sid from his holidays, as well as being boosted by the return of Kee from surgery, and the surprise reappearance of Yihao, The World was looking to take the game to Orange and beat them by a comfortable margin.
Orange however was not to be trifled with and also saw the return of long lost player Teng "I will start preparing for exams 3 months before hand" Huat. As such the teams lined up to face each other on the courts.
Some background info on the 2 teams. In the head to head record, The World(tm) has won 3 times to Orange's 1. There was only 1 draw between the meeting of these 2 sides.
The teams lined up as such.

Game on.
First half saw a multitude of chance wasted by both teams and ended with 1 goal seperating the 2 teams. Sid went on one of his speedy dribbles down the side (once again, without his bib..) and unleashed a low shot at goal, which Huifang was unable to save. 1-0 to The World(tm).
The onset of the second half saw a rash of substitutions for both team which confused me enough to decide not to comment on it.
Orange hit back immediately with a long shot by Shaun which was unfortunately turned into the net by Yihao. Yihao tried to claim that Andrew was encroaching and infringing and violating his personal space, but to no avail. Score, 1-1.
The World decided that such a score was unacceptable and set out to rectify that. Another dribble down the right flank by Sid was him switch the ball to Kee on the left flank, who hit it low and hard to the bottom left hand corner of the Orange goal. Huifang was caught unawares by such a long range shot it was 2-1 to The World(tm).
A breakaway resulted in Sid racing down the right flank once again and crossing the ball to an unmarked Kee in the center. Unfortunately, the ball was hit behind him and he was only able to guide the ball towards the goal. An alert Huifang was onhand to block it but only managed to push it out for the returning Sid to smash it home. 3-1 to The World(tm).
Orange were now smarting and looking for someway back into the match and they got that from an inspirational Shaun and Teng Huat. The both of them combined well and finally managed to shoot the ball into an empty net. Why was it empty? Ask Sid.
Another melee in the center saw Kee breakaway with the ball and in a 1 on 1 situation with Huifang the keeper. He hits the ball towards the bottom corner only to see Huifang's stick come in the way. There however was enough force to see the ball loop up and with a further breath of air by the spectators, push the ball into the net. 4-2 The World(tm) and all was looking good.
The switching off of the lights bekoned the end of the match and The World was once again left to celebrate their victory.

Alright! i've finally moved myself to do something.
hem hem. new template. new start. NOW let's hope a certain Sid doesn't delete it again. i don't know if he can. does he have administrators' access?
Anyway, i'll try and do the invites to everyone, so that anyone can post once again.

erk i don't think much of this template really. hmmmm.
BUT i'll have you know i kinda like the stickmen. the full version of it involved the uniman using the stick to attack some monster, and going down steps and railings and stuff but the file size went waay too big, so i had to cut them out.
alright enough banter. NOW SOMEONE POST!
